How it works

ADSL2+ bonding allows us to bond 2 physical telephone lines together to get the highest needed speed, we link the 2 lines to one router that bonds them and gives one internet line. For the speeds up to 20 Mega only 1 physical line is needed, yet, it’s recommended to have 2 lines for redundancy so that if one went down you still have access to the internet. For the speeds starting from 24 Mega we have to use 2 physical lines.

E.g., if the needed speed is 40 Mega we install 2 physical lines with 20 Mega for each to be bonded on the router and give the total of 40 Mega. If the needed speed is 20 Mega and the physical line quality supports only 10 Mega in this case we will have to install another phone line with 10 Mega to be bonded on the router and give us the total of 20 Mega, that’s why we ask for 2 phone lines while filling the application.

Note: All speeds availability depends on the physical line(s) quality.

How will Fair Use Policy be applied on LINKDSL accounts?
LINKDSL Plus packages have a “maximum fair usage level per month”, when a customer exceeds this level during a month, he is considered a ‘Heavy User’ & the speed of his LINKDSL Plus connection will drop to 256kbps till the end of the month. When the new month starts, customer’s connection speed will automatically return to normal and we’ll start monitoring his usage from zero again.

I’m a normal Internet user. Will the Fair Usage Policy affect me?
Probably not, only %5 of our customers are considered Heavy Users, so If you don’t share your connection with your neighbors, frequently use file sharing software or download large files like lots of movies then it’s unlikely that you will be qualified as a heavy user.

What is counted as Internet usage?
Any usage of the Internet that results in receiving data (except from specific local sites) is counted as Internet usage, that includes web surfing/browsing, any type of downloading (either peer to peer or direct downloads), email receiving, text/video/audio chatting, video/audio streaming, etc....

Does that mean my package is limited now?
At all, Fair Usage Policy Applies on Unlimited packages, even if you are a heavy user, we won’t cut your internet connection, but your speed will drop to 256kbps till end of the month, this means that you have full access to the internet during that period.

Hardware

Why do I need 2 phone lines?
You need 2 phone lines to bond them together In order to provide you with the highest speed depending on the physical line quality.

When do I need 2 phone lines?
It’s recommended to have 2 lines for all LINKDSL Plus Speeds for best performance yet it’s mandatory for the speeds starting 24Mega and it also depends on the physical line quality.

What if I have only 1 line?
You can get the speeds up to 20 Mega depending on your physical line quality for higher speeds you will need to get another phone line.

What is the router I will use?
We will provide you with a special wireless router that bonds the 2 phone lines to get you the best internet speed.

Can I use my existing router?
Yes, you can use your existing router for the speeds up to 20 Mega that depend on only 1 phone line.

Can I buy the Bonding router from retail stores?
Sure we don’t mind but the bonding router is not easy to find as the technology is very new so we made it easier for you and included it in all LINKDSL Plus packages.

Do I have to take the router included in the package?
No, the router is optional you don’t have to take it, yet taking it or not won’t affect the package price.

Do I own the hardware included?
No, the mentioned Hardware (ADSL router) is rental

Will I have an installation visit?
An installation visit is included in the package to install your LINKDSL PLUS

Is LINKGUARD included?
Yes, LINKGUARD is included as you will get 3 free keys
